I like the feed back just like bill said. However, I actually wish UVK was more vocal. It's kind of unrelated but when it comes to popups and telling you about things... The reason for why a script fails is pretty much non-existent. It's much easier to debug a script when you know why it did not work....

To the contrary to what Xander says, I do not want a script to be totally silent. I want it to be automated but I also want it to tell me what it is doing, what it has done and what it plans to do. to me that is important information.

It's not "automated" if you have to keep clicking "OK" at every step.

Xander, I understand that your idea of automated is like another software (no, not that one) but when you do that, you run it and wait and wait. Then when it finally gets done, it says "all done." You then have to go digging for logs and try to find out what happened or just take it's word for it that something happened. If that's the way you want to do it, that's great but I like information and clicking OK ever so often is not that a big a deal.

I hope that if Fred likes your Idea that he makes it an option so that I have my info and you can assume it worked.

My suggestion for that "other software" would be this:

K-Lite Codec Pack Full=(Not set)

You can specify "(Not set)" and it should work by program name based on the look of the INI file.

Xander's suggestion of white/black listing by publisher seems interesting. Any comments on this idea?

Bill, If you mean "A sort option for the uninstall list", you do have it, but you need to switch to Details view.

I was talking about white/black listing publishers. Like "Never show Microsoft uninstall entries", or "Always select IObit entries.

I meant for the white/black listings. I don’t know if I would want to just white/black list everything from any vender. Microsoft Maybe. Unless I misunderstood what was asked.

I thought he was wanting to list by program name because some crapware does not list a publisher. Actually, some legit stuff does not either as you see in the example above.

Correct. But using (not set) as you mentioned would match the programs whose Publisher field is empty.
