What's in your 3rd Party list?
I'll start...
I customized my third party section by rearranging the built-ins so I could control the order...
My usual anti-malware stack:
CCleaner Slim
tdsskiller (with dcexact flag for silent removal)
Rkill
Adwcleaner (builtin)
Malwarebytes (builtin)
Unchecky (watches for software installers and unchecks bundleware - sometimes)
Optionally run, depending on the situation
SuperAntiSpyware (builtin)
JRT (rarely used anymore)
Hitman Pro (just in case)

Nice topic, zbmowrey. Can't wait to see what others will say.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.

Re: What's in your 3rd Party list?
I have many programs. I have not added any built in tools to the "custom apps" section.
I use most of what Bill has listed, also use almost all of xbmorey's list as well.
I also have most all of NirSofts tools, Rogue killer and Fabs autobackup. I also use Ninite. Vipre rescue is good to use occasionally.
Can't forget about Combo Fix.

I forgot about Viper. How do you have that configured to download?

Re: What's in your 3rd Party list?
I have it downloaded as a third party app and change it ever so often. Since the name changes with each new version.

Combofix
install ccleaner
install adblock for ie
install cryptoprevent
install hitmanpro alert (cryptoguard)
install EMET
install unchecky
install google chrome
install hitmanpro
various antivirus removal tools
various ninite installers (www.ninite.com) for updating runtimes or with programs for clean installs
almost everything i used to run/install manually i've converted into a third party app. So I can run everything from within this program, and they're always up to date !

Re: What's in your 3rd Party list?
I try to avoid "d" products like the plague. As far as I can tell Immunize does just about the same thing as Cryptoprevent. When Nick made Cryptoprevent he just took the system policies of several people on a forum and made an app to enter those system policies for you. This is yet another case of Nick taking the work and ideas of others and claiming it for himself. Not to mention I can't stand his self image icons all over the place...... If you are wondering if I have something against the "d" products you'd be right. I don't think you should should ever belittle your customers and by no means should you ever tell them they are stupid to use your software....

Re: What's in your 3rd Party list?
the main reason I've only just started implementing these preventive measures is because of our customers. I'm tired of people complaining after a month that their system is infested again.

Re: What's in your 3rd Party list?
Vicelord, I understand that but I am thinking Immunize will do that as well and if Fred and "Nick" are using the same system policies it would just add double work......... Not sure exactly for sure what each one of them adds. I'm sure I could find out but I usually don't have a lot of time....

I'm not using the immuzation feature of UVK at this time, so far I'm happy with installing these programs side by side, haven't had any issues so far.Charger440 wrote:Vicelord, I understand that but I am thinking Immunize will do that as well and if Fred and "Nick" are using the same system policies it would just add double work......... Re: What's in your 3rd Party list?
I'm tempted to write a CryptoPrevent program myself so that people don't have to see his face on their desktops. I'm not convinced CryptoPrevent actually works anyway.
