Autoload SR file

Hello everyone. I've been asked if I could share some of the scripts I use in my repairs. So I decided to share them all. I will start with my autoload script. I only autoload a UVKSR file, but the same could be achieved with a UVK script. I just like UVKSR files better. This script is not intended ...

Sorry for the spam

Hi guys. I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry for the occasional spam. We try our best to make it harder for spambots to login and post spam, but sometimes they still do. To all those who are affected, I present my sincere apologies.

Hi Zrinko.

Working fine for me here. See the screenshot below.

Re: <UnzipFile>

Andy, your issue is very weird and I'm not being able to reproduce it. Let me just explain something so you become more aware of how it works under the hood. When UVK is launched, if a custom %ThirdParty% path is set, it tries to create a file in that directory. If the file is successfully created, ...

Re: <UnzipFile>

Andy, The value of %InstallSourceDir% is always the directory where the package that installed UVK resides. That can not be changed. But that directory must be writable, otherwise, UVK will use the Third Party folder instead. What can be changed is the value of %ThirdParty%, in the Options section. ...

Re: <UnzipFile>

Hi Andy. If it does not unzip, maybe there's something wrong with the zip archive. For instance, you may be downloading an EXE file instead of a ZIP, or the download may have failed, so there was no zip file to extract. It may also fail if the extracted files already exist and are currently being us...

Re: New technician tool: PCData Back

So it seems PCData Back's download link was pointing to SimplySync Backup's EXE all this time. Sorry about that. I just fixed the link and you may now download the tool. UVK also has PCData Back's functionality already.

Re: PCData Back

You can backup/restore the C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy folder, if that's what you mean. As for the registry saved GP, the answer is no, although it may be an interesting feature to add...

Re: PCData Back

Hi Muhammad.

PCData Back detects when user folders have been moved and restores to their actual location.

By the way, UVK will soon have all PCData back features. Update is coming up today.

New technician tool: PCData Back

Hi everyone. I'm writing this topic to introduce a new tool I made available today: PCData Back . This new tool is based in UVK's Backup and recovery module , but I added some important features. The reason why I made it as a stand alone tool is that it is more productive because it has much less co...

Re: I Keep getting the same email notice

Hi Bill. Yes, I'm getting those too. Past tuesday, I deleted 4 spambot users who had created almost 2000 posts in the night. I think the board does not send the messages all at once, probably to avoid overloading the server. It seems that even after deleting the spammer users and their topics, notif...

Re: UVK System Repair - Registry backup

Hello Andy. Registry backups are saved in C:\ProgramData\UVK\Registry backups. But you don't really need to access that location. If you ever need to restore, just go to System booster or System immunization. There is a Restore registry option there. Side note: All registry backups are deleted if yo...
