Trying to buy the Upgrade

Post by GrayUK »

So, I have the common Licence, and it says I can buy the full licence for $25.
However it doesn't to work.
The $30 seems to work though :?:
Now that seems odd doesn't it! :!:
Any ideas.

HI Gray.

I'll check the upgrade system and post back any news soon.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.

Gray, I just checked out the upgrade system and it seems to be working fine.

Can you please be a little more specific, and explain which step didn't work?

Thanks.

It's Okay now. The moment has passed and I've found an alternative.
Thanks for your time

Could you elaborate? Because I haven't found any alternatives except hard work / manual registry diggs ect.

Hopefully it wasn't alternative software. If it's what I think it might be, that software is EXPENSIVE!!!!

I have a license to that software you are talking about as well Jim. It's worse than UVK in my opinion. Once my license expires, I'm going to remove it.

The best way to describe that software is "it's owner is making it to make money" where Fred is making a tech tool FOR techs. You don't have to use some stupid cloud thing for everything. Fred also does not make you pay yearly fee to get any useful info in tĥe forums and I have NEVER even heard of Fred telling people they are too stupid to use his software.

I know Fred has several cool things in the works that just makes UVK that much better.

Hi guys,

I can’t agree more with what’s being said here. Being self-taught I likely know less than many of you here but have never been talked down to or been made to feel stupid for asking questions that I maybe should know the answers to. UVK is worth more than Fred charges for it. I personally try to donate a few bucks now and then just to help enable Fred to keep up with development or buy an extra beer or whatever he wants. I would encourage others to send a donation of any size now and then so Fred can keep the price low. I feel it helps us all in the end. Just my two cents. 8-)

It’s also great that we are getting more users on the forum. :D

I have donated a few times. Prolly should donate more. I didn't think long before purchasing UVK back 6 or 8 months ago and as far as it has come in that time I certainly would not hesitate to buy it now!

Hi Jim,

That’s great. I never donate a lot, but I’m sure anything we do helps some. I found UVK a while before d7 was retired and things changed and it became d7ll. It wasn’t long after finding UVK that I used UVK almost exclusively. Then when d7 change to d7ll I rarely used d7 at all. Now I don’t even remember the last time I used it and a while back I totally removed it from my tools folder. I just don’t need it anymore. With more people and ideas and feature request we get here, UVK just keeps getting better and better. :D
