Can UVK be ran and install with AVG or other virus programs? It has been my understanding that you can only run one virus program at a time on your PC, not unless you are running "House Call Online Scanner" or "ESET Online Scanner". So does this fall into that category?

HI, sag12, welcome to the forums.

Of course you can use UVK with anti-virus or anti-spyware applications.

It's very important to keep in mind that UVK is not an anti-virus software. Anti-virus software offers real time protection against viruses. Valid examples are Kaspersky, Avast, AVG, Avira, etc.

UVK is a virus removal and system repair tool. It doesn't offer real time protection. Instead, it helps you to disinfect and repair an infected or damaged system.

What you should not have is two simultaneous anti-virus programs. They use lots of system resources, and can conflict with each other.

But it's perfectly normal to have ONE anti virus software installed along with virus removal tools like MalwareBytes, Super AntySpyware, Hitman Pro, UVK, HijackThis, OTL, etc.

These don't conflict with the anti-virus applications, and may help to remove the viruses they didn't find, and, in the case of UVK, to repair the damages cause by the malware to the system.

I hope this answers your question.

Best wishes.
