Emulate the command processor?

Post by moosebreath »

I want to get a list and delete some old programs, programs(old versions, etc) that don't show up in anything to uninstall them?

with the command processor...

Run as admin

wmic
product name get

gets a list of the programs and then the verbose hard work begins...one at a time....

Is there a way UVK can do this better?

Hello,

UVK has the Cleanup MSI orphan files fix, in the System Repair module. That probably does exactly what you want with almost no effort. If you need something stronger, try the Windows installer cleanup, in the Tools and tweaks module. You can select and remove several items at once.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.
