SimplySync Backup supports FTP

Post by Fred »

I think some of you guys (especially Bill) will like to know that the new version of SimplySync Backup - which I released yesterday - now supports copying files to/from an FTP server

It even supports copying files from an FTP location directly to a different one (no local files are created). This can be useful to move a website to a different server.

I'm still working on the help page, but there is already some useful info available.

OK, Bill. Any feedback (suggestions, bug reports) are appreciated.

Hi Fred,

I finely got around to getting back to you on this. So far things seem to work well. :D As of now, the only thing that I would like to see is, when setting up remote FTP it would be nice if it would retain the FTP server information when setting up other than maybe the remote directory location.

I am getting some errors in the error log that I haven’t looked into yet. I will see if I can figure out why.
