Announcing new TTS feature

Post by Fred »

Just taking the time to tell you guys about something I just added to Tech Too Store: A new group named Windows Troubleshooters. I think it's pretty cool as it has all built-in troubleshooters, and also a few useful ones:
  1. Start Menu Troubleshooter
  2. Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
  3. Windows Update Web Troubleshooter
If you guys know of other useful ones, please post. The new feature can already be found in the new build:
http://www.carifred.com/tech_tool_store/

I also wanted to ask everyone to post links to web pages containing useful tutorials on Windows and PC repair. I plan to make a new group out of those.

Thanks everyone in advance for collaborating.

Great idea Fred. :) Are this all from Microsoft fix it? Are these portable? I tried to visit the web site but clicking that option doesn’t work.

The option to visit the website is disabled for the built-in troubleshooters, because they are not downloaded, they are part of Windows.

The downloadable ones are Start Menu Troubleshooter, Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter and Windows Update Troubleshooter. Those have a website to visit. They are all portable, but obviously some only work for the Windows versions they were built for.

For instance, the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter only works for Windows 8 and higher. The Aero Effects Troubleshooter only works for Windows 7, and was deprecated on Windows 8. Most of them work for all Windows versions since Windows 7.
