F8 boot menu

Post by reggaemanu »

Hi Fred,

Can you add an option to re-enable F8 boot menu on Windows 8/8.1/10 in SR ? (it is disabled since windows 8 but that's much easier than booting the os and then restart with shift key or having to use the install media)

Code: Select all

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

Hi Manu.

Thanks for the request. I'll add this in the next update.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.

Thanks Fred,

Another suggestion that has nothing to do with F8 boot menu but I'll leave it here instead of creating various topics:

Is it possible to add both "disable UAC" and "enable UAC" entry in SR ?
Right now when it reboot it doesn't continue without clicking Ok on UAC dialog if it is enabled, It would be great if we could disable it at the beginning of a repair and re-enable it at the end (or if you could find a way to bypass uac)

I think that may be a good idea, Manu. Scheduled for the next update.
