SimplySync Backup licensing

Post by wmmiller »

Hi Fred,

I see you have licensing for SimplySync set up now. Is it yearly licensing? Also, can you implement a pack of licenses? Also, will a free version remain as well?

Thanks, Bill

Couple more things. Could you make the licensed version automatically check for and install updates and maybe email error reports after a backup is run or and there’s a program installation or update error?

Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill.

SimplySync licenses are lifetime valid. However, they are OEM based (1 machine per license). I will add the license pack purchase page ASAP. How many licenses should the pack have? Three? Maybe five?

Once activated with a license, automatic updates are enabled (unattended). I will try to add a reporting feature in the next update.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.

Hi Fred,

I will need 4 for sure so a five pack would be a good number. You decide and I will work with what you come up with. How would you feel about a way to deactivate a license in case one needs to switch machines or hard drive etc.?

Thanks! :D
