Could SmartUninstaller close browser windows as its working?
Could SmartUninstaller close browser windows as its working?
This would help streamline when you uninstall junkware and they open up those stupid survey or goodbye pages.
Re: Could SmartUninstaller close browser windows as its working?
Hum, will have to give it some thought. I don't like those survey or goodbye pages either, but some users may complain about loosing data/worktime.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.

Maybe a checkbox to do this or not.
Re: Could SmartUninstaller close browser windows as its working?
After giving it some thought, I can automatically kill only the browser processes that are child of the uninstall process itself. This way any browser processes previously launched will remain active. I'll work on that ASAP.

I like this idea also. I'm on a "Not having to click" kick and not having to close those stupid "Hey!, before you go!" browser windows would be really nice.

It is not "Can it be done?" but rather, "How can we do it?"

Sounds good, Fred. Since I'm not leaving UVK on systems, there's no risk of it affecting anyone but me but child processes are a good route for sure.
