New partial C++ build

Post by Fred »

A new build is available.

The Registry Seeker and System Booster are now functional. Licensing is now working and command line parsing. I've also fixed many bugs and optimized the code in general.

The System Booster has some cool new features not present in the AutoIt version. Worth to give it a shot.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Download here.

Fred

I played around with the new build and it seems pretty nice. I did not notice any bugs that stand out so I guess you're good for now.

Thanks for the feedback.

I just uploaded a new build. The Smart Uninstaller and Quick User manager sections are now working.

Also added support for AutoIt code in UVK scripts.

Same download URL.

Fred, I foUnd a major bUg in this bUild.

It seems to have created a system hook on the Letter "U" that opens UVK no matter what app I am in. That's why all my U's are capital, I can't type a regUlar U.

Hi Jim. Just delete the UVK's "All programs" shortcut. I'll check that out ASAP. Thanks.

Bill, It happened when Jim activated his license through the About Dialog box. I'm working on it.

OK guys I fixed the issue and uploaded a new build. Please update all files. Sorry about that. I'm gonna call it a day now, check out in the morning if there's anything else wrong.

Jim I actually meant sign out of your account and then log back in.

The problem is, when a branding license is activated, UVK has to delete the current "All programs" subfolder, and then create a new one and the 3 shortcuts: App launch, Log analyzer and uninstall.

Now, the "App launch" shortcut is supposed to have a key combination associated (CTRL + ALT + U) in order to let us launch UVK using that key combo. There was a bug in the code, and the associated key became just U, without CTRL + ALT.

Fred I'm guessing this should be done on the affected computer. I will have to do that "tomorrow" and by account I assume you mean here?

Jim, There's no need for you to do anything. I was just trying to explain what happened.

By account I meant the Windows user account you're logged in. I was just telling you to log off and on again, and then check out if the U key is working again.

That's weird. It didn't happen to me when I tested. Does it still launch UVK?
