@Fred,

Hmm, look here, please: Security Software Updater forums - Security Software: Anti-Malware: Malware Removal Tools - UVK - Ultra Virus Killer, Current Version: 2.5.1.0 topic: http://ssupdater.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=7220

Hmm, Bitbizket has a little problem with the system repair script, and update.

PS. I have no portable version & I'm happy with.
W.XPSP2, 13proc., 17serv.; IE8 sandboxed (and tweaked: NO downloads, plugins ..). I'm on MalwareTips.com forums somewhere, sorry ..

Thanks for the info, George.

Well, he certainly had some system files infected, which have been removed by the third party scanner applications, and caused those errors. He should have checked the option to run an sfc scan, in the Repair script options.

There's nothing wrong with the update or the UVK portable. You see, the portable version installs UVK the same way the setup does. It just does it silently, and doesn't create a system restore point, resulting in a super fast installation.

UVK needs to be installed to work properly. How could it perform the "On reboot" operations if the portable version deleted the installation upon exit?

After using the portable version in a machine, the users just have to uninstall UVK from the Add / Remove programs control panel. After all, it only takes one second or two to uninstall.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.
