Change the registered pc owner and/or organization name in any version of windows.

Hi Fred,
Do you think there may be any mileage in this tweak? I find myself using it quite often. For instance, A user gets a new pc or buys a used one on EBay or wherever and its name is owner or maybe the name of the previous owner etc. This may not be as handy for the average UVK user, but as a technician it is actually very handy.

This is the little program I’ve been using to change the registered owner. Just change the .txt extension to .exe and it will work for you.

FYI I'm adding the owner and organization info to the system info UVK feature, and it will also allow to change it.

Thanks Bill, I see that it is a 32 bit program, is it available for 64 bit too?

I’m not sure if it is available as 64 bit or not. I use it on both and it seems to work well on both.

32 bit programs can perfectly read the values in that registry key. It's just a simple program that reads and sets two registry values. No need to make a separate version for x64.

I got a lil something for you here. I mainly did it because I wanted to play with AutoIT. I think Fred is actually going to integrate this but you can use it in the mean time to change the registered owner.
