System booster crash

Post by Charger440 »

I have had this happen on a few computers and have finally gotten a screen shot of it. I also got the logs of the crashes.

I haven’t had any troubles with it, but I’m guessing I don’t use it as often as Jim. I’ll try to use it on a few computers and see what happens.

I've been trying to reproduce this issue for a long time with no success. It always works fine. I tested in all windows versions, virtual and "real" machines.

Jim, can you please tell when the crash takes place. From your screenshot, it seems to be in the transition from "Invalid shortcuts" to "Junk files". Is that it?

Fred I unchecked Junk Files and it worked fine. Then I had it clean everything to that point. and ran Junk cleaner sperately and it worked fine. It just would not do them both together. I will try and get you more info when I can.

In the mean time:

The new version and the last beta hardly ever gets the RAM type like it did before. It does not usually seem to resume after a restart. When I go select the "resume" file all the original things are still checked even though most of them are already done.

Hi Jim.

UVK saves the current settings to the resume uvksr file only once before running the selected apps. So it's normal that all items are still checked. The runonce command contains the index of the item to start resuming from.

I'll check out the RAM info. It may be useful if you can send me a system info html file from a pc whre the RAM type is not displayed.

Thanks.
