Device Cleanup, removing old devices

Post by Xander »

Things like this don't really count as a tutorial so I'll put it here.

Found the GUI version of this a few months ago and have been using it as part of my cleanup process, getting rid of old, unused devices from systems. Not highly necessary but ranks with doing the occasional registry defrag.

The CMD version supports parameters so you can tell it to remove devices that haven't been seen for X days or Y months.

Thanks Xander,

I think this will be useful. I have a wireless mouse that keeps causing issues. I have to keep switching the Unifying Receiver back and forth from one USB port to another. I’m not sure if this will help but I’m going to try it. :)
