Tonight I got a tough computer that would not load anything. I couldn't run any sort of updates and I couldn't solve the issue with SFC. It kept telling me that SFC found corrupt files but could not fix them. Here's when I did.
I opened CMD in Admin mode.
Type:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image / RestoreHealth
This took about 45 minutes on my machine but it fixed everything.
Is this a feature we already have and I didn't know it?
Corrupt file repair
