Humm... Just did it and worked fine. Maybe the SuperAntiSpyware website's server was too busy when you tried?
Please try again, and if it doesn't work post again.
Thanks.

Re: root kits
Hi Josh. Of course UVK can be used to detect and delete rootkits. :) The most effective way to detect rootkits is creating a UVK log on the section Scan and create log . e.g Imagine that malware has infected the system file volsnap.sy s. You'll easily notice the line: <Drivers> | volsnap | C:\Window...

Re: Malware scans
Hi Bluesplayer, welcome to the forum. Honestly I don't know why Hitman pro was doing that. Maybe it found infected system files and it was asking the cd to be able to repair them. Or are you sure it wasn't after the hitman pro scan? Because by defaut UVK runs an sfc scan after the malware scans. Was...

Re: Program Improvement Suggestions
Well, in that case you should have removed the <Reboot> command from the script. It would allow you to manually reboot when you wish. I thought about adding a button to stop the execution of the script, but it's not recommended. Just choose carefully the commands you want to execute before clicking ...

Re: Translations
Hi Mark, welcome to the forum. That's a very nice proposition, thank you very much. I was planning on doing it sooner or later, but I'm missing the time to do it. I hope someone else offers the same for other langs. Let me just give you some advice: The translation doesn't have to be literal, but it...

Re: How to post
Hi Kamal welcome to the forum. This forum is very recent, so let's give it some life! BTW I'm a computer tech too. In fact, programming and the website are more like a hobby. I want to have a tool that fixes everything, so when I find an important fix while working, I just add it to UVK so the next ...

Google (and other) redirects caused by malware
Why google? Since google is the most visited website, and most users have it set as their startup page, it's the most targeted by hackers who tend to create more and more redirects, that make the users have their nasty pages as the startup page instead of google's. But google is not the only one. S...

Fixed a bug in the Log analyzer
I noticed today a bug in the log analyzer and fixed it. The bug was that the menus Search current line item with google and Search current line file in runscanner were still pointing to the the old custom UVK web browser which I removed in the version 2.0. From that version on I'm using the default ...

Re: Good Morrow peeps
Now that's a very nice job. Way to do it! Keep up with the good work! Edit: Some suggestions though: On the automatic AntiMalware scans, instead of telling the user to reboot you can tell him to check Reboot computer after all done , unless you include the combofix scan. It may also be a good idea t...

Re: Good Morrow peeps
Hi.
Welcome to the forum.
Of course you can use UVK on your forum. After all, it's free, isn't it?
I'll try to find some time to make more tutorials so you can just copy/paste the instructions to your forum.
Thanks for registering.

UVK is fully scriptable
Hi. A very important UVK feature is the fact of it being fully scriptable. You can create scripts to do most everything. This includes downloading and running files, adding and deleting registry entries, running custom cmd batch scripts, deleting, copying and replacing files, automate all sorts of t...

Re: Links in Google redirects
Hi.
Glad UVK could help you.
Funny I was just thinking on creating a tutorial section, and fixing the google redirection was the first topic I planned to create.
I'm going to create the section now. Feel free to post there.
Regards.
Fred.
