Re: Autorun video
No. If you google "AutoRuns" it's a small program downloadable from Microsoft. That's what I've been using.

Re: Autorun video
Thanks for the video Jim. Here's what I want to know. Normally I use "AutoRuns" from Microsoft. I see a list of all the files running in a computer at startup. I will then go down the list and uncheck whatever I don't want to run at start up. Normally there are 5 files for 1 program. When ...

Re: Quick review of UVK and some other tool
I do have a valid license for D7ii but i haven't used it in about 8 months. It does the same thing as UVK but UVK is much easier to use and just over all nicer product.
By the way, I use OBS to record my YouTube videos.

Re: Automation
I am toying with the idea of just hiding the portable edition in a folder on the C drive. That way j can log in and get it but clients don't see it in their normal use. The only way they find it is if they are actually looking for it.

Re: Automation
Questions would come in, with your suggestion Jim. Would it be a violation of my UVK license to install it on every client computer? I like the idea, just want to know the logistics when we can figure them out. If it requires change on Fred's part, it will have to wait though as you said.

Re: Automation
I would DEFINATELY pay extra for something like that. It's not that I don't want to log into computers, but if I could save myself some time by letting UVK do the work silently that means more clients I could service. Let's discuss your thoughts Jim. Maybe we could work something up and have Fred de...

Re: Windows update script
Is the script written to skip any updates requiring user input, Fred? Is that what you are saying?

Re: Automation
Currently what I do Bill, is log into the client computer, and I run a few UVK programs to clean the remote workstation, then I log out, and move to the next one. What I'd be interested in is having a script that I could run through SimpleHelp so that the program would log into a remote workstation,...

Re: Partial C++ UVK build
Will download this copy a bit later. Can't wait to try it now that everyone says it's faster.

Fred,
Jim and I use Simple-Help. What would it take to set up a script to run UVK automatically on client computers through the Simple Help program?

PCRT overview
I hear a lot of talk about this program and I can't justify shelling out 200.00 a year for it. My company is a mobile lab, meaning we go to the client location. Very rarely do we bring computers back to the shop anymore. We are also starting an MSP program for commercial clients. Would there be any ...

Thanks Jim. I didn't know big Fred's birthday was the same as mine. Wouldn't that make me big Fred?
Re: Back up
Thanks for that note.
Back up
Does anyone offer back up services for clients? I'm currently using Carbonite for residential clients but was thinking of ITronis for commercial clients.
