Re: Some bugs

Hi Manu. Thanks for reporting those bugs. I'm not being able to reproduce some of them. The report id is being added to the ZIP's file name as it should. It is the last token of the file name. Also, the "Continue repair" shortcut is being deleted in the end of the repair operation as it s...

Some bugs

Hi Fred, I don't at which version it started (somewhere when you introduced RepairShopr integration) but the reportid is no longer in the filename of uploaded zip report. Another bug is that it now ask for password after a reboot while in SR, it used to not ask it until the SR is completed. Not a bu...

ADW cleaner missing in uvk logs

Hi Fred, Well, pretty all is in the title. It's been at least 2 month than adw cleaner scans are no longer present in uvk logs (it's present in the report, and adw logs are joined in the zip file, but there's no longer the line in uvk log about the scan), Was not sure at the beginning that it was re...

Re: New UAK

I had that problem on several machines (I had to kill uvk and restart it) but not while scanning, I think that was cleaning (well, I'm not so sure right now, maybe it was while scanning).
On those machines I can't use uak, if I restart a scan it does the same

Re: RANT - Windows 7 update hell.

You can also prepare an install media with all updates already integrated with DISM. (It take times to integrate them and keep it up to date I know, but you will save so much time after that it worth it) I do that for every windows version, so no matter if I install a windows 7, 8.1 or 10 it is almo...

Re: Reports.zip not open

I had a similar problem some times ago and reported it.
The problem was that I used two fixes that reset the firewall in my Sr procedure so after if I wasn't there to accept the upload the file was just created on the ftp but never uploaded so it was corrupted. (file size 0ko)

Re: Backup and recovery additional backup locations

I don't actually use a NAS (well, I use my main computer as a NAS but only in reading mode) but I'm thinking of buying one. So for now it's fine for me but yes it would be nice if we could backup/recover to/from a network share. Anyway, that's a great addition to uvk, nice job Fred ! :) (I've only t...

Re: Cleanup all generated reports

Look at you Manu, being all picky and stuff.   Actually that's not a bad idea just making it part of UVKs uninstall cleanup but, I also like it in the reporting section too where I intend to leave UVK hidden on the computer but don't want months of reports piling up. Sounds like a ...

Re: Some small issues

Hi Fred,

Thanks for fixing the fact that it asked for uninstall on second instance of uvk but now it doesn't ask either when closing the first one (only if a second were launched).

Re: Cleanup all generated reports

Hi Fred, I re-open this feature request as it's still not perfect for me. Could you add a delete option so it can delete files at uvk uninstall ? Maybe it would make more sense. My concern is that I want to do some basic things after uploading the report and actually it close uvk after sending so I ...

Re: Stop Windows 10 Anniversary Update

That's pretty odd that it won't work after update, there's not so much modifications between windows 10 and anniversary version (if it works before, it should work after), I'll go for a reinstall of the program like Fred suggested...

Autologon

Hi Fred,

I wanted to try auto-logon so I've added it in several uvk sr files but it doesn't stay in top apps and fixes after saving and re-open the files (the remove auto-logon works fine). I'm using 9.6.5.5.

Re: Report ID in filename

Hi Fred, Thanks for fixing underscore issue, It now works fine !! :) I don't know if you've seen some post above, another request related with this one: As a side note, now that the ID is in the filename, could we have a way to set a report id via command line? So we can specify a report id when usi...

Re: Report ID in filename

I would like to see the import thing work as it would make things so much easier for me. I know it works fine for that other software but never has worked right for UVK... Kinda sux cause UVK is so much better software... Well just apply the mod that is on pcrt forum and it will work (when Fred wil...

3rd Party logs

Hi Fred,

If I run a SR with all 3rd party builtin scan apps I have no third party logs in the sent report zip (I ran it from the uvk zip version if that matters)

Re: Report ID in filename

Hi Jim, Did you applied correctly the mod AND add variables in your repair/deps.php file to configure/enable it ? If you did good it should works fine (you just have to put the pcrt work order id or the pcrt pc id as reportid in uvk), but if there was special chars in file names it won't, and now th...
