Re: UVK: Empty all users temp folders - except Recycle Bin?
Andy I can understand that. I have a disclaimer on my drop off sheet stating I am not responsible for loss of data and that it is your sole responsibility to keep important things backed up in a safe place. Having said that, I do all that I can to reduce the possibility that i lose anyone's data. Fr...

Re: UVK: Empty all users temp folders - except Recycle Bin?
I am all for customizing systems as much as possible.. However, for the sake of conversation, I wonder if you might elaborate on that thinking? I consider the "recycle" bin to be the same as a trash or rubbish bin. I am personally not aware of anyone that keeps items in the recycle bin as ...

Re: TTS command line
I'm sitting here revisiting this idea.
I was trying to find a replacement for Choclatey and thought TTS might be able to serve that need.
Not sure, thoughts?

Re: Hi All
Arthur First off, Hi and welcome. Other tools claim they are for the user and about the user. Fred's tools, especially UVK are the brain child's of his customers. There are many of us that see things "we" have added to his tools every time we use them. Fred, more than anyone I have ever se...

Fred
I like the new progress window in the repair section. It's simple but informative. Nicely done!

RMM Forgive Me
I am really looking for a cheap RMM solution with the abilities UVK already has. I am really anxious to see development of this tool. There really is nothing in the market in this area. Everything is either over kill or mostly an RMM in name only. I don't mean to take away from work you do behind th...

Re: Quiet...
I have been fairly busy as well. Personal life stuff and business life. I'm still working on transitioning from break-fix to MSP. In a limited market that is tough but if I was in a larger market, I would have competition which I don't really have here. Winter time here is prolly an average of 30 de...

OK, since no one else is talking. I'll ask. What's up Fred? Any new features coming along? Hows the new software title coming? Just in general, how are things?

Re: Can we answer the question "How did my computer become infected?"
Fred, It would appear you were right and after finding and reading the request I made back when, I stand my that. However, my recent idea was based on the fact that UVK deleted a couple links from the desktop through the script I made. To my knowledge there is no record of the things it deleted whic...

Fred
I was just toying with the idea of being able to use it as an automated patching tool. Not sure if that would even work or not.

Does TTS have command line options? I did not see any but I did see where you can save scripts with it for quick reuse I guess.

Forum searching
Fred, I understand that searching is limited for a few reasons but I have spent a few minutes searching for UVK log posts only to find out the search, with it's current settings, is mostly useless. Every search I did just told me the words I did would return too many results and I needed more than t...

Re: Can we answer the question "How did my computer become infected?"
I had been thinking about this myself, sort of. I was thinking that it would be nice to have a log of the files and settings that UVK removed and not just the "Removed 10 items" in the log files. So, I guess I kind of agree with you. However, I find that when I have to answer that question...

I thought that might be the point of them but something like that, by the looks of it, I prolly wouldn't slow down much.
