New product idea
I don't know if this would be a feature in UVK or a stand-alone product. I have a client looking for an excellent tool to locate duplicate files on their computer. He'd like the ability to merge the files so that the differences in the two files are all together in one complete file. I told him ...

I'm starting a YouTube channel for techs to review different software products. Things like RMMs and repair tools that techs might use. While I am a diehard UVK user, during a 50% off sale, I purchased a D7x license to do some comparison videos and show people more up-to-date information. I couldn't ...

Re: WAU Manager
Thanks Fred, I appreciate it. I'm trying to learn Powershell, so I wonder if there is a way to script this all through there. I'll have to play around with it. Otherwise I'll just set it up with the UI.

WAU Manager
Fred,
Just a quick question. I am looking to change my computer so the WAU Manager does my updates instead of the Windows Updates program. That one just seems to suck lately. Is there a way to tell it to run on a regular basis, but silently?

UVKSR files
I think that's what they are called. I created a process of tasks I want UVK to run, then I saved the settings as a .uvksr file. When I double click on that file to run it, all it does is open UVK with those settings blocked. How do I get it to execute those tasks when I click on it? Also, is it ...

Re: TOS question
Sorry to keep bothering you Fred, but I have another question about this. If I buy say a 5 license pack to start, then I need more, can I then buy them individually, or do I need to purchase another 5 license pack? Also, do you have a way to accept "Donations"? I don't think this should all be a ...

Bootable ISO
I'm not sure if this is a feature request or something else. Have you ever thought of building your own WinPE that includes UVK and your other software? One thing that I hate is when I have to book from a WinPE, I can't use my UVK to remove the virus so I can boot normal.

Re: All in one portable
That's a cool idea. I didn't know you could do that. I always do a zip file then unzip it, then run it manually.

Re: New technician tool: PCData Back
I haven't really checked on the latest version of fabs. Mine is 3 years old and to he took off the renewal license option, so now it's another $80 for a new license that would be 1 years worth of updates. I haven't quite found the need to renew that license yet. In the past however there were really ...

I just tried to test out the "Install/Update Ublock for Chrome" option. It opens to the chrome store with an error message.

Re: New technician tool: PCData Back
I have an older copy of Fabs (I haven't purchased a new license in a few years). I can do documents, pictures, music, videos, desktop, downloads, wallpaper, Mozilla Firefox profile, and Google profiles. Outlook PST/OST files. Windows Address Book. I can also do Word custom dictionaries, AutoCorrect ...

Re: New technician tool: PCData Back
I used this yesterday on a recent wipe and reload of my personal laptop. Other forums are real big on promoting another developer's product called fabs Auto backup and I wonder if you've seen it in action? How does your product differ from fabs, or is it basically the same thing? I know when I use ...

I'd love to see a way to contain the current three files into one exe file. This way when I'm working on a remote computer I can just send one file instead of three
