Re: Bootable ISO
Hi Fred. UVK runs fine from a WinPE environment, but it will not be of much use because it lacks the ability to load a system from an external drive. You can always use the Threat scanner's custom scan feature to scan the external drive for viruses, or the Delete Files module to remove file objects ...

Or you can use UVK's SFX creator, also?

Re: Upload reports command line ID
reggaemanu, I added support for a new command line switch : -ReportID=ResiredReportID
Examples:
Will that do it for you?
Examples:
Code: Select all
UVK_en.exe -SendReports -Auto -ReportID=1234
uvk_en.exe -ImportSr "%InstallSourceDir%\SR settings.uvksr" -Auto -ReportID=1234

Re: New technician tool: PCData Back
Thanks for letting me know about that, Fred. PC DAT Back restores all that, except for the Wallpaper, but that one is easy to add. I'm guessing the latest versions of Fabs restore many other things.

Re: Ublock
Working fine for me, Fred. If you are using UVK's System immunization, you need to temporarily disable immunizing chrome extensions to add uBlock.

Re: New technician tool: PCData Back
I've never used Fabs, but everyone says it's great and I don't doublt it. PC Data Back (the same as UVK's Backup and recovery module) restores nearly all user files, including the Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Music, Video and Application data folders. That's enough for my own repairs. Unfortunately...

Re: UVK Portable Custom Apps Issue
Thanks for the reply, Xander. When you say you're not able to edit or delete, what exactly does that mean? Does the Edit extra app window not show up? Does the Delete confirmation message not show up? Is it possible that you are using a UVKSettings.ini file in the same path as UVKPortable.exe, an it...

Re: Exclude files end subfolders
Hi tvd.
Currently, there is no folder whitelisting support. I will see if I can come up with something.

Re: UVK Portable Custom Apps Issue
Hi Punker180. Thanks for posting here in the UVK forums. I'm not sure why you're not being able to edit the custom apps. It's working fine for me. As for the icons, I thought about that, but since there is no easy way we could cloud sync something like that, I gave up. Maybe I can come up with somet...

Re: New beta notifications
It's been a long time since I last posted here. We've just released a new beta version with some new features. v11.9.1 Added support for 17 more custom apps in the Home page. All of these custom apps can be exported to UVKSettings.ini and cloud sync'd. Added a new option to permanently disable the H...

Hi AntiEtcher. Please let's respect the board's language. Also, please do not post any links to screenshots unless you're asked to. If you wish to reinstall Windows 11 while lkeeping all your data, proceed as follows: Launch UVK and click on System repair. Scroll down in the list and doubl-click on ...

Re: Could you maybe prompt the user instead of making assumptions?
Hi Whiggs.
I will add a checkbox named "Upon failure, delete on reboot". If it asked you each time a file is scheduled for removal on reboot, it could generate thousands of prompts.

Re: Been a long time!
Oh Bill, sorry your health isn't good. Thankfully you have a good family that takes good care of you. I'm guessing you spend mot of your time at your cabin by the lake, which is good. Nature is good at healing.
