Could you maybe prompt the user instead of making assumptions?

So, one thing about Ultra virus killer that has gotten a bit on my nerves is what the application does when it attempts to delete a folder or file in the "Delete, replace or copy files and folders" section of the application. If Ultra virus killer is unable to delete the one or more of the...

Start menu shortcut issues

Ok. So I have UVK installed on my system. However, I go to my start menu and notice there is no entry for uvk anywhere. I then go to C:\Programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and verify there is no UVK folder or entry. So I create a UVK folder (C:\Programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\...

Re: tech tool store bugs

Ah. So it is. That is interesting. I personally do not remember exactly when it started, but I use the toolstore to run the package everyday for work, and considering nirlauncher was updated on March 4th, 2018, I would say that it would be a safe assumption to assume that is when the developers deci...

tech tool store bugs

I didn't see a forum for tech toolstore, so I figured I would report the bugs here so that they can be fixed. There are (that I have verified, there may be more) a couple of entries in the tech tool store which aren't working as they should. I have confirmed this on multiple devices. It actually loo...

SFC and DISM scan results

Hey, so I just wanted to throw this out there. While your tool includes the use of the sfc and DISM scans as part of the repair process, I also realize that performing these scans using your tool is, when all is said and done, unreliable. This is due to the fact that we are not able to see the outpu...

Re: Recommend fix to add to uvk

So it appears that Microsoft has finally gotten around to fixing the issue. It had been an issue for months and even confirmed that it was not just me, but Microsoft finally got around to it. Mine is working now as well. Disregard this post.

"Stop Resetting My Apps" not working as it should

Hey. So I have Windows 10 pro x64 Creator's Update (Version 1703 Build 15063). What the subject said. The "stop" icon is not appearing when the item is clicked in the app, except for the very last one. See below for more details:

Recommend fix to add to uvk

To uvk developers, I would like to recommend a fix for UVK repair. Note that this fix is only applicable to Windows 10 Creators update release. I discovered that running "Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" would fail on the aforementioned operating system. No matter if it was run ...

Repair windows store and metro apps fix not working and installing apps

So I reboot into safe mode and when I try to run the above fix in safe mode on the Windows 10 creators update, it does nothing. It just skips right over it and says it completed successfully. I assume that this fix runs the powershell command: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -Di...

prevent rebooting until all is done item not working

So I have noticed that the above item, when selected as part of the "fix task sequence" if you will, does not actually prevent the computer from restarting until all processes are done. Let me give you an example. For those who perform in-place upgrades or repair installs of windows 10, or...

Re: A few big issues

Awesome. Now, I haven't tried this, so this is just a guess, but when utilizing the autologon feature, it automatically attempts to login users that are local to the computer (in other words, "%computername%\" or ".\" is implied to be in front of the user name). Sure enough, when...

Re: A few big issues

Thank you sir. That would be great. I do like your tool, but it has also been the source of my repeated need for os re-installs. BTW, what about the issue concerning autologon and domain joined computers?

A few big issues

to whom this may concern, I have had some major issues with UVK that I was hoping could be looked into (especially since I have a license). First issue: autologon function doesn't appear to support domain-joined computers. If the username needs to have the domain name before it (eg Domain\username) ...

Re: Windows 10 on screen keyboard makes UVK nonresponsive

Here is a snap shot of a common error I run into with UVK in audit mode. Restore points are disabled in audit mode, so when the installer tries to create one, it freezes up and has to be forced closed, even though the application does install successfully.

Re: Windows 10 on screen keyboard makes UVK nonresponsive

Hey guys. Its Audit mode. I installed Windows 10 normally and successfuly and UVK hasn't crashed once when I just boot into OOBE and set up an account. In fact, my opinion of Windows 10 has somewhat improved, it seems Audit mode was causing a lot of the hangs that I was experiencing with other apps ...

Re: Windows 10 on screen keyboard makes UVK nonresponsive

No. I use x64 as well. I have been having trouble in general getting UVK to work with windows 10. It freezes even without the keyboard issue, but less frequently. And this is from a clean install using the media creation tool. Like I said though, I have been having trouble using the tool while tryin...
