Re: UVKSR files
One more thing Fred, I'm sure it something I'm doing wrong. I've tested this many times on my machine and it doesn't work. I have the box checked in the UVKSR file to email me a report. However when it finished, I never get the report in my email. I have the option checked in the Reporting section ...

new tool idea
Fred,
This could be a tool, or a script to run through an RMM, or maybe both. I have been trying to keep track of all the internet connected devices on my home network, and it's very difficult at times. Arp only shows what this computer has communicated with. Advanced IP Scanner works great, but ...

Re: TOS question
Sorry, I thought I replied to this, but it appears my IP address is blocked when I do it through my phone. Anyway, thanks for letting me know, Fred; I appreciate it. Will these be one-time purchases, or do the licenses renew each year? Also, is it the same as my version, or will the endpoint version ...

Re: Software updater
Yah, I use Chocolatey right now, but I've played around with PatchMyPC. I wanted a script that I could just install the program and then just tell it to run weekly. With my RMM, it's eaiser to send a file over to them without needing to take control of the machine, which I would need to do if I ...

Re: Software updater
Update. I guess I was wrong. No program does them all. Even File hippo had a database of software it could look at. I thought it did all of them because it was able to find all the software on my machine. I didn't realize that it was just a larger database at the time.

That's cool, thanks.
The more I use UVK and it's other tools, the more I'm glad I didn't pay the extremely outrageous fees of Dx7. Thanks for this great product.

Re: Software updater
There are some tools like SysTweak that claim to have this ability, and I remember the old FileHippo did that. But I'm not sure if it's just based on a list and they don't tell you or if it truly scans everything. I would love the ability to update Windows Store apps. That would be nice. Can it be ...

Software updater
Hey Fred, I use an RMM that has a patch management component, but when it comes to third party programs on a computer, it will only update what's in its app store. Similar to the way that patch my PC will only look for the updates for certain software. When I'm looking for is a tool like the old ...

Blocking Windows 10
I've been using the GWX Control Panel for some time now to monitor and block Windows 10 upgrades. To this date it seems to have worked just fine. Recently I was at a conference and someone suggested Never10 from Gibson Research. Has anyone here used it? What are your thoughts? I'm downloading it now ...

Simple backup
Fred,
I have a couple questions about your new backup program.
1. Is it in beta only now and will it be a paid program when you roll it out?
2. Will it run from a flash drive or does it have to be installed on the computer.
3. I haven't played with it much so I'm sorry if this one is a stupid ...

Re: New tool: SyncAll Backup
This is a great tool I see many applications for this. One I plan to use it for is network backups. I can put this on all the computers in an office, and tell it to run at a particular day and time, backup up select folders to a network backup device.
Thanks for your great service Fred.

Ran SFC and it still happened. Removed all the Add-ons and no luck. Turned off Performance Booster, as well as resetting the browser. No luck. I just said IE sucks, use Firefox. No issues since we put firefox on her computer for her.
